Freedom Party of Ontario bestows ‘Free Speech Award’ on Mary Lou Ambrogio; praises Caledonia activists

The week beginning Saturday, April 21, 2012 was surely one of curious contrasts for Caledonia rule-of-law activists…

In the evening, I was honoured to be a guest speaker and presenter at the post-election dinner meeting for the Freedom Party of Ontario where executive members Bob Metz, Robert Vaughan, and leader Paul McKeever explained why the NDP, Liberals and Hudak PCs are all nearly-identical ‘red’ parties more interested in promoting ‘wealth distribution’ than in promoting wealth creation and protecting liberty.

On the way home my very apolitical wife said, ‘The penny dropped after listening to the speeches. Now I understand the difference between the parties.’

Freedom Party of Ontario anti-racist ads suppressed?

PaulMcKeever.ca, Jan 30/11: International Free Press Society sounds alarm about suppression of Freedom Party's anti-racism adsAs reported here on VoiceofCanada the Freedom Party of Ontario recently released video ads supporting one of the planks in its election platform calling for an end to race-based education such as the Toronto School Board’s ‘Africentric’ school for Blacks only.

Those ads were pulled from YouTube after a complaint from CTV shortly after McKeever appeared on CFRB 1010.

The International Free Press Society’s Canadian Chapter (IFPS-Canada) has the complete story, and Paul McKeever, leader of the party has posted his thoughts online:

VoC Comment

1. Alas, we know only too well how key information, hard news and opinion is suppressed. The McGuinty government intimidated CHTV after interviewing Gary McHale. A completed CBC documentary based on OPP/occuper radio traffic proving the occupiers authorized the shooting of civilians and police was pulled shortly before our FantinoGate news conference in the Queen’s Park Media Studio. Other than this one, suppressed attempt there was no other investigative reporting done in Caledonia until Christie Blatchford arrived on the scene.

Toronto’s Africentric School Dealt a Blow in New Election Ad

Freedom Party’s “Two Alis” ad takes a swing at McGuinty and Hudak

January 25, 2011 Toronto – In September of 2009, a taxpayer-funded “Africentric” public school was opened in Toronto. A 2011 election plank issued today by Freedom Party of Ontario proposes that the school be closed, and that the law be changed to prevent Ontario school boards from opening such schools ever again.

The plank is being promoted with a new pre-election video advertisement that condemns Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty and Progressive Conservative opposition leader Tim Hudak for doing nothing to prevent taxpayer funding of Toronto’s race-based public school.

“Dalton McGuinty feigned concern about the opening of a race-based school, but refused to take any steps to prevent Toronto’s Africentric school from being opened” says Freedom Party leader Paul McKeever. “Tim Hudak – who continued to champion taxpayer funding for faith-based education even after his party’s 2007 election loss – did not oppose the opening of the race-based school.
