=========================================

In the ‘Who the hell do you think you are?‘ department, McGuinty’s Liberal campaign office today tried to silence and control the media by trying – unsuccessfully – to intimidate CHTV into not running a story about a Brantford developer’s confrontation with the Premier over his government’s refusal to provide assistance for builders suffering landclaim extortion and occupations.

Instead of talking about the importance of enforcing the law to protect the integrity of the Land Titles system, the Premier, through his campaign office, threatened to 1. lodge a complaint with senior executives, 2. Lodge a complaint with Canadian Broadcasts Standards, and 3. Deny CHTV access to the Premier during the election campaign!

In 1978 I went half-way around the world to serve in a UN peacekeeping mission on the Suez Canal in Egypt to play a small part in keeping the peace where there was none. Since McGuinty came to power…

  • Children just 1 1/2 hours from my home are afraid because police have left them to the mercy of criminals.
  • Natives can now take any land they please free of consequences with no help available from the OPP or the government.
  • McGuinty’s shameful Ipperwash Inquiry cover-up has effectively given radical natives a licence to use any level of violence they wish to get what they want.
  • Illegal occupations are spreading across Ontario.
  • Criminals are raping women on occupied land purchased by McGuinty’s government, land that is off-limits to the OPP.
  • Law abiding, peaceful Canadians are arrested for trying to raise a Canadian flag.
  • The Six Nations Confederacy has now implemented a formal extortion program to extract protection money from land owners.
  • The OPP spit in the faces of the judiciary by continually refusing to enforce court orders.
  • And now, McGuinty’s government has the sheer effrontery to intimidate a media outlet into not reporting the news. Incredible.

muzzled_man_cartoon.gifActually, it’s not the first time McGuinty’s people have threatened CHTV for telling the truth about native lawlessness. The first time (that we know of!) was August 3rd last year when Chris Morley, McGuinty’s Press Secretary, tried to intimidate CHTV producer Lawrence Diskin because they interviewed Gary McHale. According to McHale, Diskin told him CHTV was to be punished by McGuinty for having McHale on TV.

Our province is edging closer to the edge of a very dark abyss. Freedom of speech. Freedom of the Press. Freedom of Association. Rule of law. Peace, Order and Good Government. Civil rights. Equality. Human Rights. All under attack by McGuinty and a corrupt police force that seems as if it were under the direct employ of the Liberal Party and native criminals.

I am very afraid today. We must use every legal means at our disposal to resist.

P.S. Way to go CHTV! It was a beautiful thing watching you expose McGuinty’s shameful attack on media freedom, something you certainly don’t see every day. Very nicely done! Let’s hope other media outlets pick up on this extraordinary story.

P.P.S. Is it possible that McGuinty’s re-election campaign is starting to implode? After all, in just a single day, the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs announced that landowners are on their own if their land is illegally occupied by natives, and then McGuinty launches a brazen attack on freedom of the press. Hmmmm…some very hopeful signs.

P.P.P.S. Why do you suppose the Canadian Civil Liberties Association has been so silent about the dangers to our democracy? I personally contacted them on several occasions by phone, by email and by fax begging for help for Dancer, begging for them to at least meet with us. They never returned my messages.

  1. I find this disgusting. The Liberals prove themselves, time and time again to be the most undemocratic group of people around.

I find it ironic that a former “journalist” who now works for the Liberals as their press officer would stoop to trying to stifle the free press in this province. Well, I guess he only worked at CITY TV, not exactly the most credible of TV institutions.

Let these repugnant political hacks know we won’t stand for them trying to stifle the debate! This is Canada, it was once proud and free, it can be again.
I found some emails, so give em hell!

VoC REPLY: Thanks for the email/URL’s James. Yeah, let’s give ’em hell! As Gary McHale said to me last night, I can’t believe that the Liberal Party is so stupid and arrogant that they didn’t think Rule of Law (actually, the lack thereof!) wasn’t going to be an election issue! Sorry, Dalton, but without the rule of law, nothing else matters. Thanks again! Mark P.S. contact your local media outlets and ask them why they’re not reporting this story!

    Dear Mark,

This is an excellent article, but it should be on the front page of every major newspaper in Ontario. At this point in time, I do not understand how both opposition parties are not screaming loud and clear for the governing party to do what Democracy means. Protect the citizens from crime and violence, insure Ontario families live and work in safe environments, and most of all prevent unlawful seizure of privately owned land until the courts determine the validity of the claims of the oppressors.

The lack of support for the OPP by the government and the courts opened the floodgates to two-tier justice at Ipperwash. The Ipperwash Inquiry carved two-tier justice into stone. Has this improved the situation for both native and non-native. Absolutely NOT. It has given the militant warrior in native society the green light to extort, traumatize, vandalize, and committ bodily harm with impunity.

Under what other reigning Democratic government is this permitted to continue indefinitely to the detriment of that society??? Now we have a government who professes a right to silence those who want to tell publicly what is really going on. Kukos to the news for not being compromised with threats from the very government whose mandate is to protect the rights of all of us. As at Ipperwash, victims of native agression are being told they must fend for themselves, while at the same time paying taxes for police protection and government protection through the charter of rights .constitution., and Law of the Land. Why is there no mechanism to force the government to address crime and violence in native land disputes??? Why are we told to handle it ourselves, but we cannot remove the oppressor from our own deeded land or we will be jailed???

I firmly believe that all the areas now affected by native agression do not matter to the government because they are not large enough to sway the vote in McGuinty’s mind. However , having said that, why is McGuinty not being dragged across the carpet for trying to subterfuge freedom of the press by the opposition parties??? Is he above the Law????
Voting him and his cronies out is not enough. He is enabling the oppression and extortion that has arisen in this Province. He is complicit in all of this. He should be facing the courts for his role in the crimes being committed.

    Sincerely,
    MLL

VoC REPLY: Hi ML. I share the sense of desperation that I hear in your words. The province is teetering on the brink of a total breakdown in law and order, and McGuinty’s solution is to shoot the messenger. The Liberals MUST be defeated. Nothing else matters if there is no rule of law. Nothing. As Dan McCreary, a PC candidate said today, “I’m afraid it it keeps up there’s going to be violence, because there’s no rule of law.”

If innocent people are injured or killed defending themselves or their property against landclaim violence and extortion their blood will be on the hands of McGuinty, the Liberal Party, and every MPP and media outlet who remained silent. It will be on the hands of those who perpetrated the Ipperwash Inquiry cover-up, and it will be on those who ought to have helped, but outright refused – like the Canadian Civil Liberties Association who refused to return our calls begging for help for Dancer, who refused to meet with us prior to our release of the Ipperwash Papers. Most of all, however, the blood of innocents injured due to native lawlessness will be on the hands of Julian Fantino and every single officer of the OPP who have been ‘just following orders’ not to enforce the law.

We will continue to resist ML. We’re going to be sending some public ‘messages’ soon to let the politicians know we are serious about confronting the evil on DCE and elsewhere. We intend to make rule of law the ONLY issue in this campaign. Thanks for writing. Your words are always a source of strength and inspiration. Mark

Readers unfamiliar with Mary-Lou’s commitment to exposing the truth of what really happened in Ipperwash should consider reading, The Strength of a Woman: Mary-Lou LaPratte, Ipperwash hero.

My message to Ontario’s politicians: IT’S THE ‘RULE OF LAW,’ STUPID!

    Dear Mark,

I just read on CWUC that a homeowner has been injured in the takeover of the subdivision next to the Stirling Bridge. Once again the OPP are allowing natives onto the site, but not the homeowners. We now have injured private homeowners and those who are not allowed to go to their homes. Perhaps McGuinty should set up homes for refugees of native land claim violence. It is obvious he will not expect the OPP to do anything. Nor will he do anything even close to obeying the law of the land.

At least one thing is certain. These happenings are not hidden anymore thanks to CHCH, yours and Gary’s efforts. As I said before, we have met the enemy and it is us the people of Ontario who refuse to stand up and be counted no matter what the cost. Now is not the time to worry “If I do this, what will happen?” Now is the time to fight for justice with your vote, and insist that you and I are all treated equally under the law and have equal access to those agencies that enforce the laws of this Province.

VoC REPLY: Thanks for your thoughts on a difficult night, ML. I’m not taking much comfort in knowing that we did everything we could do to warn the public, the media and a whole lot of self-serving politicians about the dangers of not standing together against this evil. This man’s injuries were a predictable and preventable outcome of insane policies. A blind person could have seen what was going to happen, let alone a Premier, a Solicitor General and a Police Commissioner. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

I saw McGuinty on the 11:00pm news – he says its a federal problem. I don’t know if he knew that he, his cronies and another ‘peaceful occupation’ by ‘non-terrorists’ had put a man in the hospital today. Mark

  4. Go figure! As long as Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, and the Greater Toronto Area keeps voting for the likes of all these Liberals you will continually get inaction. Toronto has a strangle hold on Ontario due to its electorial base and we outside of the 416 are going to pay the price for these retards.

A man just had his brains bashed in by the natives and guess what nothing! If anything does happen the guy defending his home will be cited for confronting these natives. We are all at fault, we never defend ourselves. Until we stand up to these natives and fight for our properties we all will lose. Because the Liberals and the greater part of today’s politicians will not stand up to any special interest group.

VoC REPLY: The Toronto media and even the London Free Press is reporting this story. It has really touched a nerve. Joe Gualtieri told me last night at the Stirling Street barricades that he was prepared to do whatever it takes to get action and justice on this issue. So far, he’s done a pretty good job. It’s a shame that it took a vicious attack on his brother to capture their interest. I believe that McGuinty and the OPP are starting to unravel. I hope there’s enough time before the election to destroy his campaign. If John Tory can cream McGuinty using this issue he doesn’t deserve to be premier. Thanks for writing Less1leg. Regards, Mark

  5. If I was an Italian, I would contact all my Italian brothers and sisters (except one) PROVINCE-WIDE to vote out McGuinty!
It is sickening what happened to Mr. Gualtieri and all those others who’ve been intimidated and harmed.

VoC REPLY: Thanks for the comment, Lorna. This evil must stop NOW. Here’s a suggested prayer: “Dear God: Please let Premier Dalton McGuinty be forced to find another line of work on October 8th, and make sure he takes his little dog, Julian with him, too. Amen.” Mark

  6. Mark, while McGuinty has turned the citizens of Caledonia into unrepresented refugees, he is shilling out millions to various ethnic groups to try and secure another victory. As you and I know this is not about justice or being fair, it is about him furthering his agenda to destroy Ontario for a few ethnic votes.

What has transpired is disgusting and an absolute corruption of the principles of democracy and the rule of law. Just like Oka and Ipperwash, Caledonia has become a lawless cesspool of criminal activity, condoned by the OPP through their master McGuinty. I have no doubt that Dalton’s and Julienne’s finger prints are all over this.

These two should be hauled before an enquiry as to why they are breaking the law and subverting justice, to protect criminal native behaviour.

VoC REPLY: Hi JC. McGuinty’s callous disregard for the suffering of the victims – both native and non-native – of the OPP’s attack on the Rule of Law is becoming painfully obvious. I believe that the truth always rises to the top. We have been working 16 hours a day to get the evidence out, reaching out to some very senior people close to the government and I am convinced things are starting to unravel. Whether it will unravel completely before Oct 10th, I don’t know, but it will.

I agree that there ought to be a way to drag Dalton, Julian and Kwinter before a judge (after the federal government intervenes under terrorist legislation to stop the lawlessness). We left a copy of our Ipperwash Papers press kit for McGuinty when we were there in March, so he has no reason not to know that the Inquiry was a cover-up. I imagine that’s why he hasn’t referred to it during the campaign. For shame!

Thanks for writing. Hope to see you for our ‘Remember Us’ March in Caledonia on Oct 08th.Mark
